Frequently asked questions

Find clear answers about how we ship live fish via FedEx, our live arrival guarantee policy, packaging protocols, and return terms.

What carrier do you use and what are your delivery speeds?

We partner exclusively with FedEx for fast, reliable delivery. All live freshwater fish orders are shipped via express overnight delivery to minimize transit time and reduce stress on your aquatic pets.

What days of the week do you send out orders?

To prevent live fish from being delayed in transit over weekends, we dispatch FedEx shipments strictly Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed later in the week are scheduled for dispatch the following Monday.

How do you pack live fish safely for transit?

Each fish is packaged in heavy-duty, oxygenated bags with clean conditioned water. We place these inside insulated styrofoam boxes and use specialized heat or cold packs depending on current route temperatures.

Do you hold shipments during extreme weather?

Yes. If severe weather conditions, extreme freezing, or heatwaves are forecasted along your delivery route, we will proactively hold your order and notify you until conditions are safe for transit.

What is your live arrival guarantee policy?

We proudly offer a 100% live arrival guarantee on all our fish. In the unfortunate event that a fish does not survive transit, you are eligible for store credit or a replacement order.

What should I do if a fish arrives dead or unwell?

Please take clear photos of the fish inside the unopened shipping bag within two hours of delivery as recorded by FedEx tracking, and contact us immediately at [[email]] or [[phonenumber]].

Can I return dry goods like fish food or tanks?

No. To maintain biosecurity, prevent cross-contamination, and guarantee warehouse safety standards, all sales of non-live goods and dry supplies are strictly final and cannot be returned.

How should I acclimate my new fish upon arrival?

We recommend floating the unopened bag in your tank to match water temperatures, followed by a slow drip acclimation over 30 to 45 minutes before introducing them into your aquarium.
